After a couple of self- inflicted frustrating months on the releasing music front, the wheels seem to be on and rolling. Our first ever single is called "Greener the Grass" which will be on our first ever full length album currently titled "How've you been (all this time?)". The single will be out on the 26th of May and has a B-side called "years" which is otherwise unreleased. We've have a preview of Greener the Grass on our music player, but its just a bit of the song, but if you go to our myspace page at www.myspace.com/ukdoghouseroses, or follow the link at the bottom of the site, there is another section of the song there. There is also a preview of the B-side "Years" on our player here.

Were very pleased with our new website which was designed and run by the good people at team Facejolt based in Cambridge and just as a follow up to our previous blog about possible faulty email addresses everything is running smoothly. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together...we do as it only happens once in a blue moon or thats certainly how it seems anyway.

As its nearly May, look out for Iona on the Willard Grant Conspiracy Pilgrim Road tour. "Pilgrim road" got the Uncut magazine Americana Album of the month for June and Iona's duet with Robert Fisher on the song "The Great Deceiver" was described as an album highlight. Cool eh?

All the best

New stuff

Hi Everybody

We've finally got ourselves a proper website and hopefully there should be a new album to go with it soon. As a kind of taster a single from the album will be out on the 26th of May so thats all very exciting. Were just getting ready for our gig tonight at Ally Kerr's Viva Melodia night at Bar Brel in Glasgow. Were playing with Michael Frucasso who is on tour from Austin in Texas so it might be time to dig out the boots to make him feel at home. Tomorrow is a quick jaunt through to Paisley to play at Moloko on New Street. This is a new venture trying to re-establish a folk club and such like in Paisley so were right behind it.

Anyway, thats about it for now....best go and have a quick shot on the old geetar

All the best
